Historic Downtown Front Royal will come alive Friday evening, beginning at 6 p.m. as Front Royal Independent Business Alliance (FRIBA) event, Taste of the Town, gets underway.

Ten restaurants providing a variety of cuisine will be set up for tasting.  Patrons can purchase tasting tickets for $10.  Each ticket has seven coupons, which can be traded in for a “taste” of something delicious provided by one of the restaurants set up along the venue.  This years’ eateries showcasing the wares include: The Apple House/Fork’d Food Truck, Ben’s Family Cuisine, Royal Deli Indian, Daily Grind, Food for Real, Tri Thai, Mama Lucie’s Kitchen, Cafe Amore’, C and C Frozen Treats and Down Home Comfort Bakery.

Advance tasting tickets can be purchased at City National Bank, at 600 N. Commerce Avenue, the Visitor’s Center, at 414 E. Main Street, and Royal Oak Computers at 203 E. Main Street.

In addition to the food vendors, other merchants, non-profits and civic organizations will have tables set up along the Downtown area.  A children’s area will include a balloon bounce, face painting, a performance by a magician.

Musical entertainment includes the band “River Driven”, the Randolph Macon Academy Drill Team, The Stingers, Jig n Jive dancers and more.

The Taste of the Town is an annual event sponsored by FRIBA.  It will run from 6-9 p.m.
