Bishop E.W. Jackson will be the featured speaker Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Warren-Page NAACP 61st Annual Freedom Fund Banquet in Front Royal.

Jackson is a conservative politician, Christian minister, and lawyer in Chesapeake, Virginia. He was the Republican Party nominee for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia in the 2013 election, as well as a Republican primary candidate for the United States Senate in Virginia in the 2012 election; he sought the nomination again in 2018 but lost to Democrat Tim Kaine. He is head pastor at Exodus Faith Ministries, located in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Sixth congressional district candidate Ben Cline will attend the event his office confirmed Wednesday.

NAACP President A.D. Carter said that honored banquet guests  will include: Warren County Fire Chief Richard Mabie, Warren County EMT Captain Raymond Cross, Warren County EMT Captain Kevin Catlett, RSW Regional Jail Superintendent Russ Gilkison. There will also be a special celebration, in honor of Catherine Kilby’s 100th birthday, Carter added.

The banquet will be held at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at 12 West First Street.
