After addressing the Warren County Board of Supervisors in a Feb. 2018 meeting and seeing no changes from the group, Front Royal resident Mark Egger, reappeared before the board. Egger, the father of former Town Councilwoman Bébhinn C. Egger, has been vocal regarding the EDA, and the criticism lobbed at his daughter during her tenure on the town council.
Ms. Egger was repeatedly criticized and belittled for asking questions about EDA projects, most notably the ITFederal project. That project, announced at a fanfare photo op press conference with local officials and Congressman Bob Goodlatte in 2015, promised 400-600 high-paying jobs that would be implemented in stages as three buildings were erected, has turned into little more than one seriously-scaled down building that could never house space for 400-600 workers.
