UPDATE: Though no details are available at this time, according to Tennessee’s Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, Richard Tester was taken into custody Thursday morning.
Officials say 17-year-old Grace Galliher, from Tennessee, was found safe.
An AMBER Alert was issued Thursday morning after Galliher was believed to have been abducted from her home by Tester.
The two last been seen at a motel in Marion, VA and were heading north on Interstate 81.
MARION, VA – An Amber Alert for a child abduction has been issued on behalf of Tennessee FBI for a missing 17-year-old girl who was last seen at a Marion motel with her abductor.
Virginia State Police spokesperson Corinne Geller said Thursday morning that Grace Olivia Galliher was abducted from a grocery store Tuesday in Tennessee by Richard Tester.
Police said the two may be traveling in a navy blue 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer with the Tennessee license plate B7101V. Police said they are believed to be traveling north on Interstate 81.
Grace is described as white, five feet four inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes. Tester is described as 52 years old, white, five feet, nine inches tall, with brown hair and glasses.
